This series of paintings ranges from quick oil sketches applied with thin layers of paint to thick tangible surfaces built up on the canvas over several years.  My figures are hybrid creatures that often combine human, plant, and animal forms.  With eyes open or closed, these imagined characters represent an accumulation of human experience.
